Repairify has announced the appointment of Ben Johnson as its new Vice President of General Automotive Repair Markets in a recent press release. In this role, Johnson will lead the strategic growth and product development for asTech Mechanical, Repairify’s highly anticipated new product set to launch on May 20.

Johnson brings a wealth of experience to the position. Beginning his career as a technician in 1979, he has accumulated numerous ASE certifications and has held significant roles at SPX, the Automotive Care Association, and Delphi. Most recently, he managed the product portfolio at Mitchell 1.

An active member of the Society of Automotive Engineers International, Johnson has also served on the Auto Care Association’s Tool & Equipment and Emerging Technologies committees and is a past president of the Equipment & Tool Institute.

As Vice President, Johnson will focus on driving the growth and development of asTech Mechanical. This innovative product aims to enable automotive repair shops to perform jobs requiring specific OEM tools in-house. “The increasing complexity of vehicles means there is an increasing need for repairs to be completed using functionality exclusive to OEM tools,” Johnson said. “Making these OEM tools easier to access will help more shops across our industry complete all repairs properly.”

Johnson’s extensive background and industry expertise position him well to spearhead the launch and expansion of as Tech Mechanical, ensuring Repairify continues to provide cutting-edge solutions for automotive repair professionals.
